Will this course help me get a job in motorsport?
This course is created and updated with input from motorsport employers to help engineers develop their careers and become competent Race Engineers. It helps employers to overcome their critical shortage of skilled engineering staff. Our tutors are experienced professionals, currently working for racing teams, so you will learn techniques and strategies currently in use. By successfully gaining your Diploma, you will be in the perfect position to develop your career or secure yourself a job as a Race Engineer in the UK or abroad. If you are looking for a job why not visit our Motorsport and Automotive Jobs Fair.
Do I have to complete both Parts 1 and 2 or can I choose to do either?
To get the maximum benefit, we strongly advise you to complete BOTH Parts of the course as they are designed to be learnt as a 32-hour programme of learning over two weekends. However, if you choose to separate these, then you must successfully complete Part 1 before you can, at a later date, attend Part 2.
How old do I have to be?
Do I need my own transport?
Yes - as the full course takes place at TWO locations – Silverstone and Cranfield – it is advisable to have the use of your own transport. Bus and train connections do not reach these locations.
What language is the course taught in?
The course is taught in English.
What qualifications do I need?
This intensive course, spread across two weekends, is an excellent way to specialise in motorsport if you have an engineering degree of any nature. However, if you are not a graduate or your qualifications are limited, then you will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge of engineering principles when you apply.
Can I get college/university credit for this course?
Do I need any special equipment or books?
On which days does the course run?
Part 1 - Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November 2018 and Part 2 – Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November 2018.

Do I have to pay for the course in full when I register?
Payment can be taken in full upon registration.

However, if you cannot pay, in full, when you book then you will have to pay a deposit of £300 and the remaining balance, by direct debit, in TWO equal instalments of £750, on the 1st September and 1st October.
