James Knapton - Chief Race Engineer - Performance
James Knapton has enjoyed a rich career in Formula 1, as the Head of Vehicle Science at Force India, Sauber, Manor F1 teams and at Red Bull Advanced Technologies. James is now working in motorsport as a Chief Engineer - Performance.
Peter Hall - Head of Race Strategy
Peter graduated from the University of Cambridge with a MSc in Aerospace and Aerothermal Engineering in 2014. After graduating, he worked at Red Bull Racing as a Simulation and Modelling Engineer and then switched to Sauber F1 Team as a Race Strategist. In 2020, he joined Aston Martin F1 Team where he now heads up the Race Strategy department.
Martin Owen - Principal Aerodynamicist
Martin has 21 years of F1 aerodynamic development experience from working at Jordan, Williams, Force India, Aston Martin. He is currently one of AMF1’s Principal Aerodynamicists leading an aerodynamic development group using wind tunnel and CFD, and with extensive previous experience as a trackside aerodynamicist.
Hiroshi Imai - Director of Race Engineering
Hiroshi spent over 18 years at Bridgestone developing F1 tyres. In 2009 he moved to McLaren as Principal engineer, working trackside to help McLaren maximise tyre performance. In 2017 he became Chief Race Engineer. His F1 tyre expertise is renowned throughout the pitlane.
Tudor Ibanescu - Senior Suspension Performance Engineer
Tudor has worked in the Vehicle Dynamics department for Alpine F1 since 2014. He is now a Senior Suspension Performance Engineer where one of his many roles includes supporting the race team during a race weekend.
Josep Roca - Race Engineer
Josep began his motorsport career Race Engineering in ETCC and GT Open for SUNRED in 2007. In 2011 he joined the Driver-in-the-loop department in Williams F1 as Mechanical and Simulator Race Engineer. In 2014 he moved to Williams Advanced Engineering, working on a variety of road car prototype projects. He switched to electric racing in 2016 where he joined Jaguar Racing as a Race Engineer.
Ash Willoughby - Energy Management and Controls Engineer
In 2017 Ash secured a role as Simulation and Modelling Engineer at Red Bull Advanced Technologies working on the Valkyrie Hypercar and other high performance projects. In 2020, he joined NIO Formula E team as Energy Management and Controls Engineer where he supports the Race Engineers at the track and also during simulator sessions.
Tim Jackson - Lead WRC Development Engineer
Tim spent 6 years as a works Rally Engineer for the Ford World Rally Team, securing 2 FIA Manufacturers titles, before spearheading M-Sport's US & Europe rallycross programs. Now back in the WRC, he heads up the test and development of M-Sport Ford's WRC projects.
Rob Sharp - Vehicle Dynamics Engineer
Rob has worked as a Data and Race Engineer in a number of championships including WEC, Carrera Cup, BTCC and British GT. He joined Multimatic in 2021 as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer where he operates the Kinematic and Compliance Rig as well as the 4 Post Rig and Driver in the Loop Simulator.
Ulrich Baretzky - Former Director Race Engine Development at AUDI Sport
Ulrich began his career as a Design Engineer at BMW Motorsport and was involved in F1, F2 projects as well as High Performance M3 and M5 engines. He moved to Audi where he led projects in WEC, DTM, Trans-Am, IMSA GTO, and ITC.
Rik Kasius - Race Engineer

João Ginete - Performance Engineer
João began his motorsport career as an Aerodynamicist at McLaren Racing and then Red Bull Racing, where he also helped develop the Aston Martin Valkyrie. In 2018 he started working trackside, Race Engineering in ELMS as well as European and Japanese F3, before joining Jota.
Geoff Dymott - Race Engineer
Geoff worked for Williams Racing for over 20 years as a Vehicle Dynamics, Race/Test Data Engineer and Senior Performance Engineer. Geoff also race engineered in F4 and Porsche Carrera Cup for Richardson Racing.
Charlotte Phelps - Lead Systems and Data Engineer
After finishing her studies, Charlotte worked at Mercedes HPP and was promoted to Strategy Engineer in 2019. She spends her free weekends Data Engineering for Barwell Motorsport, running two Lamborghini's in British GT. Charlotte is now a Lead Systems and Data Engineer for W-Series!
Craig Porley - Race Engineer
Craig has been working in motorsport for over 15 years. Alongside full time jobs at Xtrac and Red Bull Racing, he is also a Race Engineer in BTCC having previously worked for West Surrey Racing, Eurotech Racing and now MB Motorsport.
Wouter Remmerie - CEO
In 2011, he joined Voxdale as a Development Engineer where he was then promoted to Project Manager and was involved in a variety of CFD projects. In 2013 he founded his own company called Zastrugi and two years later he launched AirShaper – an online aerodynamics platform that allows users to run complex CFD simulations on 3D models within hours.
